We're pleased to announce our 2019 head coaches. We're excited for those that have been selected this year and look forward to selecting the remaining coaches.

140 # – Varsity
Rashod Knight will be leading this year’s Varsity team as their Head Coach. This will be his 2nd season with the Steelers, his first as the HC. Rashod took over last year, midway through the season, with our Pee Wee team. In addition, Rashod is a coach of the East Penn Steel Rockets 7 on 7 teams. His playing experience includes honorable mention All-State at Liberty HS (2010) and defensive lineman at Cheyney University (2014-2015). Rashod has been busy putting together a solid staff of coaches ready to help develop these kids for their middle school and high school football futures.

120 # – Junior Varsity
This year we bring back another former Steelers assistant coach, this time in a Head Coaching capacity. Larry Ford helped coach our Steelers Arena team in 2017. In addition, Larry has middle school coaching experience and coached numerous Flag “Play 60” teams over the past couple of seasons. Larry’s playing career includes playing defensive line for University of West Virginia (2008-2010) and many professional arena teams, including the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks. He’s currently playing for the West Virginia Roughriders. Larry works with children as his profession and has a Bachelors in Athletic Coaching Education from WVU.

100 # – Pee Wee
Antwahn Perry will be returning for his 2nd season with the Steelers. Last year he was an assistant coach on the 80# Jr Pee Wee team. Antwahn has previous head coaching experience with the NFL Flag, Jr Stampede and PA Rebels youth arena teams as well as the Bethlehem Raiders. He is an active member of the US Army and serves our country with pride. Antwahn will look to advance our younger tackle players into the next level of skills and knowledge needed for them to be successful as individuals and teammates.

80 # – Jr Pee Wee
Angelo Ramos will be returning as a Head Coach in the Steelers organization. He has been out of coaching the past two seasons but has three years prior coaching experience at the Steelers. In addition to being a former Steelers HC at the flag level, Angelo also has youth and high school coaching experience in New Jersey prior to moving to Pennsylvania. He will look to introduce our youngest group of tackle players from flags to full contact.

Flags
Gio Garcia will return for his 2nd season as the Flag A Head Coach. This year, he will work to continue developing our younger kids and also prepare them for tackle football. We’re happy to see Gio return with many of the kids he coached last year. He will work to blend the returning Flag A players with the kids moving up from the Flag B team. All Flag players will participate in one cohesive group until the teams are split into their respective teams when the season starts.

A final decision has not been made at this time regarding the Flag B head coach(es). However, we’re very excited to have several, more than qualified head coaches interested in leading this year’s team(s). We will be sure to advise everyone as soon as final decisions have been made.

Cheer
Final decisions have not been made regarding cheer Head Coaches at this time. We have received applications from several interested coaches. If you’re still interested in being a Cheer HC, there is still a little time left to apply. We felt it’s best to see how many girls we have, their ages, abiliy, etc before assigning head coaches and splitting them into groups. Once we have a firm idea on the number of girls, that’ll help us to determine exactly how many head coaches we’ll appoint and at what levels. We will be sure to advise everyone as soon a decisions have been made.

Thank you,
BSAA Board of Directors
